TRAIN THE TRAINERS WORKSHOP
Harness the Power of Passenger Safety!

The Pediatric Trauma Center at Stony Brook Children's, with support from the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center Foundation, hosts Train-the-Trainer sessions. Trainings will prepare our partners to offer the popular Teddy Bear Clinics in their local elementary schools and other communtiy-based programs.

Bring the popular Teddy Bear Clinic program

to Schools Near You!

Our “Teddy Bear Clinic” is a free injury prevention program for children coordinated by the Trauma Center at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, incorporating Impact Teen Drivers elementary curriculum, and sponsored by the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center Foundation.  Each class program runs about 45 minutes; 25 minutes for safety education and 20 minutes for Teddy Bear Clinic.  We cover safety topics on car and helmet safety in a fun and interactive way before letting the children dress up as doctors and nurses and “take care” of their injured stuffed animals.
