Copiague, NY, May 20, 2015 - Following their May 7th Road Safety Program presentation at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School, Safe Kids Suffolk and the Stony Brook Trauma Center generously donated 30+ helmets to third grade Deauville Gardens East students in need.
During the Road Safety presentation it was stressed, that to reduce or prevent injury, students should always wear a helmet when riding their bicycles and scooters.
County Executive Steven Bellone also joined the presentation to encourage the students to share the important safety messages they learned about with family and friends to help make their community a safer place.
